Taunton Racecourse is one of the most beautifully located courses in the country with outstanding views across the racecourse to the wooded slopes of the Blackdown Hills and yet only a few minutes drive from the centre of town. You can almost sense the atmosphere of raceday and the excitement of the race – it’s this that makes Taunton Racecourse a unique venue for functions of all kinds.

The facilities lend themselves to virtually any type of function, being an ideal venue for business lunches, dinners, buffets, weddings and private parties from 10 to 200 guests. Taunton Racecourse is well signposted from the M5 and the centre of town and has ample car parking adjacent to the stands. All the dining areas and bar facilities of the Paddock Stand enjoy panoramic views across the racecourse, contributing to the enjoyment and uniqueness of the occasion.

Duck and green peppercorn terrine served with an apple and plum chutney

Roasted vegetables marinated in olive oil and herbs with tomato bread and feta cheese

Seafood and fresh vegetable consommé flavoured with saffron

Avocado and smoked Chicken salad with a light lemon chutney and green salad leaves

Poached Fillet of Salmon filled with its own mousse, with a white wine sauce and crispy leeks

Panfried Pork Entrecote served on creamed potatoes with a coarse mustard sauce

Supreme of Chicken roasted with chestnuts and bacon in a rosemary sauce

Venison Stroganoff cooked in sour cream and red wine, served with Wild Rice

A pastry tartlet filled with Wild Mushrooms and a Madeira sauce

Baked Aubergine and Tomato Gateau, served with a pesto sauce

Smoked halibut and home-cured salmon with a cucumber salad and brown bread

Thinly sliced Parma ham with chilled Galia melon or fresh Figs

Roasted Monkfish with a creamy saffron vegetable sauce and fettuccini

Sautéed medallions of Venison with potato galette and a juniper berry sauce

Navarin of lamb served with small vegetables in a tomato and rosemary sauce

Supreme of chicken with a mild Coconut sauce on Thai vegetables
